2 Years, R14,000 Paid, Zero Furniture, Zero Accountability - Avoid Homzy at All Costs

I am writing this review as a completely disheartened and furious customer to warn everyone: *DO NOT buy from HOMZY.

In 2023 I placed an order for 3 items with Homzy a bed, couches, and chairs. I paid a deposit of R6,000 and continued paying until I had paid in full: R14,500. On 9 May 2024 I formally instructed them to start production.

That was the last time Homzy did anything for me.

It is now May 2026. Over 2 years later, I have received no furniture. No updates. No production. Nothing. When I started chasing my refund, the runaround began.

Homzy has consistently ignored my emails. But they were quick enough to take my money. Now they claim they “changed systems”, “changed owners”, and “don’t have records” of my payments. Convenient. It’s still the same company, same brand, same public face. But suddenly no one wants to take responsibility.

The most insulting part? They are now even denying the bank account I used for direct payments - an account I have proof of paying into. This is after they accepted every single payment without issue.

I have spent over a year fighting for a refund for goods they never made and services they never delivered. No accountability. No communication. No resolution. Just silence and excuses.

This is not a small business that made a mistake. This is a company that takes money, changes its story when customers ask for what they paid for, and then hides behind “new management” to avoid responsibility.

Based on my experience, Homzy is ************* and unprofessional. If you value your money and your time, stay far away. I would give zero stars if I could.
