Mrs AM Timmerman-Botha passed away on 7 October 2020. We only recently received a message that a refund is due to the estate. We submitted all the documentation on 9 May 2023 for the refund to be processed. We are constantly following up and receive the following feedback : We (Agility Health) are assisting the scheme (Health Squared) with the process of refunding Health Squared members any potential savings or contributions. In order to this the following steps are taken: 1. We have to verify banking details to ensure that any due refunds are processed to the correct account. It is crucial that we avoid any attempts of *****. 2. It is necessary that we then investigate the amount that is due for refund. For this, we have to recon the account to ensure that there are no amounts owing by the member to the scheme. 3. Once we are satisfied that the amount due to the member is correct, we then prepare batches that are sent to the scheme for payment. 4. Since the High Court has appointed a Liquidator, we cannot confirm when these payments will be made as this process is at this point, out of our direct control. There are previously submitted batches that we are awaiting feedback on when the payments will be processed. The estate is being finalised and this is the only outstanding matter which we urgently needs to be settled.

This company is criminal they left people stranded without medical aid because someone obviously it was correct within the company and they left people needing urgent care without any support whatsoever and I hope they get prosecuted

Agility's Healthsquared medical aid received my monthly contribution after 01/September/2022....a date after they have stopped operating as madical aid. This was an error by my human resource section as my new medical aid details were not loaded on the system by then. I made follow ups with Healthsquared medical aid and the consultant acknowledged that and told me the funds will be refunded on 15 October 2022. Nothing happened. I made follow ups...was told to send my bank details..... nothing happened. I contacted the Provisional Curator...Mr J Seoloane at email address: [email protected]. on 05 December 2022. No response....not even acknowledgement ofthe receipt of my query. The hurting financial harm on my side is the new Medical aid had to double contribution from my salary on October 2022 because the September contribution went to Healthsquared medical aid by mistake.....I fell behind with my payments because of this gap.This is also what I raised to Provisional Curator....but ignored. Now I am a stranded customer.

My father had a medical aid for years with Health Squared. He was not told that the medical aid closed down and that he had no more medical aid until Dischem called in September 2022 and said that the Medical Aid had not paid the claim for his chronic medication, despite the fact that he had paid his monthly premiums. My father who is 89 years old has now tried to recover the premium which he paid in September 2022, only to be told by the bankers that Health Squared has refused to return the funds. This is point blank theft - they know full well that they are not entitled to the premium which was paid by EFT. They should be reported to the criminal authorities.

What is theuseof medical aid? I had a medical aid, was admitted to hospital and diagnosed with multiple sclerosis in 2017. After getting out of hospital I applied to my medical aid with letters from my neurologist stating there is already damage done and that I need treatment which they refused because I had to have a second relapse before payment for treatment would be considered. Now 5 years onwards I am struggling to walk, I have problems with my eyes, I have had a minor stroke and numerous other health problems due to my multiple sclerosis which was left untreated.

Makes me wonder if they are getting the interest on these undesignated contribution funds and that is why they took them! For those of you struggling to get through to the helpline, just persevere - they will eventually answer.
