Geyserwise MAX does NOT work with EXTEND elements. Although Geyserwisw know although they are aware of this, the tech department will run you through many options ans make you buy extra cables, change your plumbing, then after all that effort IF your issue is not fixed (which it never will be) they tell you SORRY Extend elements have a problem!

Bought the Megawatt Saver from a third party/distributor and experienced a slight problem and went straight to Geyserwise office to inquire about the problem, my situation was attended and fixed within few minutes by the Technician Tshiamo at no cost, they didn’t say just because I did not buy from them they won’t assist me, they even send out a technician (Bester)to my place to monitor the system twice at no cost. For the love of their Brand they went all out to assist me. Still using the system even after a year it works 100% and I’m saving 60% on my monthly electricity bill since the installation. Thank you guys.

I work with complex systems for a living, and my home is fully integrated with advanced IoT and Home Assistant setups. GeyserWise used to be the "go-to" in South Africa. Now, they are the Nokia of the industry—selling 2010 technology at 2026 prices, completely asleep at the wheel while competitors overtake them. The Cold Hard Facts: Blind to Power Usage: It is frankly embarrassing that GeyserWise is the only major system in its price bracket that cannot tell you how much electricity you are using. In a country with our energy crisis, this is unforgivable. The "***gyback" Humiliation: Their software is so bad that third-party companies (like GeyserWala) have built businesses just by taking GeyserWise hardware and replacing the "brain" because the original is so limited. When other companies can run your own hardware better than you can, you have failed. Archaic Logic: You are forced into a rigid "4-block" timer system. Modern systems (Elon, etc.) allow you to set specific temperatures for any time you want. GeyserWise forces you to live by their rules. Dangerous Documentation: Their instruction manual is worse than useless—it is a liability. I know of users who have permanently damaged their geysers because the manual is so poorly written it might as well be toilet paper. Ghosting Customers: I sent a detailed technical breakdown to their management, offering to explain exactly where they are failing. They couldn't be bothered to reply. Verdict: GeyserWise is resting on its brand name. The hardware is fine, but the software is a dinosaur. If you want a modern smart home, avoid this brand until they wake up and join the 21st century.

A heavy hail storm damaged my GeyserWise control unit on the roof. I called GeyserWise office in Centurian to get help. The technician, Tshiamo was very helpful and advised to bring the unit for inspection which I did. I met him at his office and the inspection showed a burnt circuit on the main control board. In few minutes he replaced the board for a nominal fee. The repair was successful and all works perfectly. He was very polite efficient and competent providing excellent service. Well done.

Purchased the 2kw Geyserwise element with all supporting accessories for the installation. After installing, the geyser was leaking through their flange. After reporting, they advised that it was an installation which caused the metal flange to bend. Not taking accountability for their poor quality and design.

I recently purchased a house which is equipped with a GeyserWise controller. As this was my first exposure to the controlleer I downloaded the User Manual from their web site. I have been around for many years and have had to access many different user manuals, but have never come across a more comprehensive, understandable and useful than theirs!! It is really written for the user - whether tech savvy or not. All information one may need is contained in a very neat, colourful 56-page document, complete with numerous photos to guide one from instalation, through setting up to fauly finding!! I'm looking forward to using the controller having already set it up as I think will be best for me! Once I have used it for a while, I will give my opinion of the controller's operation.

Some years ago, we purchased a solar water heater from a CTCC tenderpreneur in order to get the slight discount. In return for money, we received a solar heater, leaking pipes, pipes which still rattle, a leaking roof, and a Geyserwise. The Geyserwise is technology seemingly based on those digital wrist watches from 1975 or an alarm clock from 1980. One has to decide when hot water is required months or weeks in advance and don't dare change your mind. So we have had many cold showers, and honestly, an on/off switch would be a huge improvement.
