I brought a complex reference image half expecting to be told it was too difficult. My nail technician studied it carefully, suggested a couple of tweaks to make it work better on a smaller canvas, and then executed it flawlessly.

On the 18th of January I went to the salon to have a Gelish Pedi and a manicure. The day after the Mani, I noticed a black spot under my thumb nail and by day 6 the nail had fallen off. I went to Weleda who tried to assist and my pharmacist tried in vain. I then went for just my gelish pedi on the 23rd of Feburary and showed the beautician who did my mani my nail as well as the lady doing the pedi. They were horrified but I was convinced it would clear up! It got so much worse that I managed to see a Dermatologist who put me on a course of antibiotics for the bacterial infection and viral and fungal medicine too. I contacted the owner and showed her the pictures of my nail and I said that the least she can do is refund me my medical expenses. She has refused!!!To date it has cost me R5000.00.

In Feburary I went for a manicure at this salon in Bryanston. The beautucian put a single layer of gelish on my nails. The next day a black spot under my thumb nail starting moving from the base of the nail and within 6 days, the black area had spread to the entire cuticle and the nail fell off. After visits to Weleda and the pharmacy who tried in vain to assist, I went to a Dermatologist. I was put on Viral, Bacterial and Fungal medication and to date it has cost me R5000.00 which the owenr of the salon has refused to refund me!!! Apalling as far as I am concerned!!!
