This is by far the worst customer experience in have ever had. I would think they make enough money to employ someone to greet people and tell them where to wait. Nobody minds waiting if they understand what is going on.

I am writing this review to share the deeply frustrating and unprofessional experience I had at the Trauma Unit in early 2025. What should have been a straightforward medical visit turned into a months-long ordeal marked by dishonesty, poor communication, and what I can only describe as outright ****ming. When I brought my daughter to the Trauma Unit, I was required to make an upfront payment despite having medical aid (which was fine). I was assured that this was because medical aid claims "take time," and I would be refunded once my medical aid processed the payment (which i understood). Trusting their explanation, I paid in full, the doctor attended to my daughter, prescribed medication, and we left the same day. Days later, I contacted my medical aid and was shocked to learn that they had already paid the Trauma Unit directly. I was even told that I should be refunded a portion of my payment, as my medical aid did not cover the full amount. I immediately reached out to the Trauma Unit, provided all requested proof of payment and correspondence, and on 13 May 2025, I was assured that my refund would be processed as they confirmed the medical aid paid the amount they informed me they had paid. Since then, I have made countless follow-ups via email and phone calls, only to be met with empty promises and delays. Each time, I was told the refund was "being processed" and that it "takes time." Fast forward to 2 February 2026, when I attempted to email them again, only to discover that my messages are now being blocked. The email bounce-back message states: "Your message to *** couldn't be delivered. A custom mail flow rule created by an admin at drlouise365.onmicrosoft.com has blocked your message." It is absolutely unacceptable that after nearly a year of waiting, the Trauma Unit has not only failed to refund my money but has now resorted to blocking my attempts to communicate with them. This behavior is unprofessional, *********, and reflects poorly on the integrity of Dr Louise Engelbrecht Trauma Unit. I feel cheated, disrespected, and deeply disappointed. What was meant to be a place of care and trust has instead proven to be a source of stress and financial loss. I urge anyone considering visiting this Trauma Unit to think twice and be cautious about their payment practices. I hope this review serves as a warning to others and that the hospital takes immediate steps to rectify this situation and address their clearly flawed refund process.

So went to trauma, following day I was admitted. This should all be submitted as one claim as this was also a PMB situation. Absolutely disgusted how they constantly choose to use incorrect codes, having patients sort out the incompetence of so called competent practitioners.
