Unfriendly
This business was previously called Soetlif en Jasmyn if you want to read more on honest reviewers experience with Charmaine. The entire experience was horrible from start to finish. The host is incredibly inhospitable and unfriendly. No actual learning takes place. She dismisses your questions and uses sarcasm to make you feel stupid. Honestly don’t waste your time, energy and money.

This business was previously called Soetlif en Jasmyn if you want to read more on honest reviewers experience with Charmaine. The entire experience was horrible from start to finish. The host is incredibly inhospitable and unfriendly. No actual learning takes place. She dismisses your questions and uses sarcasm to make you feel stupid. Honestly don’t waste your time, energy and money.

I had an absolutely fantastic experience with Create-a-lot! From start to finish, everything was handled with professionalism, creativity, and genuine passion. The attention to detail is incredible, and you can really see the effort and care that goes into every aspect of what they do. The atmosphere is welcoming and inspiring, making it such a pleasure to be part of the experience. I left feeling not only satisfied, but truly impressed and excited to come back again. Highly recommended for anyone looking for quality, creativity, and a memorable experience!

I had an absolutely fantastic experience with Create-a-lot! From start to finish, everything was handled with professionalism, creativity, and genuine passion. I had a wonderful experience at Create-a-Lot
I had a wonderful experience at Create-a-Lot. The classroom is beautiful, the teaching is clear and step-by-step, and the atmosphere is warm and welcoming. I learned so much and had so much fun during the Flower Piping Bouquet class. Highly recommended for anyone who loves baking and creative decorating.

I had a wonderful experience at Create-a-Lot. The classroom is beautiful, the teaching is clear and step-by-step, and the atmosphere is warm and welcoming. Create-a-lot Baking Studio is FANTASTIC! Attending the Assorted Biscuit Baking and Cupcake Flower piping Classes was such a wonderful and rewarding experience. I am truly grateful to Charmaine for teaching me how to bake a variety of delicious biscuits from SCRATCH and also to create beautiful Flower cupcakes! Every step was explained so clearly and patiently, which made the whole process easy to understand and enjoyable.The class was well organised, hands-on, and filled with valuable tips that I can confidently use at home.I walked away feeling inspired, confident, and extremely satisfied with what I learned.The atmosphere was welcoming and Charmaine’s passion for baking really shines through in her teaching! Thank you for an amazing class and for sharing your knowledge so generously.I highly recommend this class to anyone who wants to learn proper biscuit baking and Cupcakes flower art and enjoy a fantastic learning experience!

Create-a-lot Baking Studio is FANTASTIC! Attending the Assorted Biscuit Baking and Cupcake Flower piping Classes was such a wonderful and rewarding experience. I am truly grateful to Charmaine for teaching me how to bake a variety of delicious biscuits from SCRATCH and also to create beautiful Flower cupcakes! Every step was explained so clearly and patiently, which made the whole process easy to understand and enjoyable.The class was well organised, hands-on, and filled with valuable tips that I can confidently use at home.I walked away feeling inspired, confident, and extremely satisfied with what I learned.The atmosphere was welcoming and Charmaine’s passion for baking really shines through in her teaching! I recently attended one of Charmaine’s classes at Create-a-lot and what an incredible experience it was! From the moment I walked in, I felt welcomed and inspired. Charmaine explains everything so clearly and patiently, making even detailed techniques feel achievable. Her passion for sugar art and baking truly shines through in the way she teaches. She doesn’t just show you how — she makes sure you understand why. The class atmosphere was relaxed, friendly, and encouraging. I left feeling confident, motivated, and so proud of what I created. It’s amazing how much you learn in just a few hours! If you are thinking about booking a class — do it. Whether you are a beginner or already have experience, you will walk away with new skills and a boost of confidence. Thank you, Charmaine, for sharing your talent and knowledge so generously. Think twice before booking. Check older reviews too
I attended a biscuit baking experience with Create-a-Lot, expecting a pleasant and enjoyable day out. Unfortunately, the experience was very disappointing. We spent approximately 6–7 hours there, and instead of enjoying the outing we left feeling completely drained and uncomfortable. Participants were encouraged to ask questions, but when we did, we were often ignored or given dismissive responses instead of proper guidance. For example, when we asked why bicarbonate of soda was used instead of baking powder, we were told that the recipe was “foolproof” and that if we wanted to change it we should Google other recipes. As beginners, we were simply trying to understand the process and left without a clear explanation. We expected guidance and encouragement, not to be made to feel uncomfortable for asking basic questions. My mother-in-law was not made to feel welcome and was at times clearly ignored, which was upsetting to witness. The presenter came across as unfriendly and impatient, and the overall atmosphere made what should have been a relaxed learning experience feel stressful instead. After reading other reviews afterwards, it is clear that similar concerns about attitude and treatment have been raised by other customers, which is very concerning. We also noticed that the business previously operated under the name Soetlief en Jasmyn Suikerkuns Studio, and many of the older reviews describe similar experiences. For the time and money spent, this experience was not enjoyable and we unfortunately would not recommend it.
