Based on recent customer reviews, Crazy Plastics is facing significant customer experience challenges across multiple branches. A recurring theme is dissatisfaction with product durability, particularly around items like spinning mops, plastic chairs, and water containers breaking shortly after purchase. Customers consistently mention rude and unhelpful staff conduct, restrictive return policies, and managers shouting at both shoppers and employees. While a few reviewers praise specific branches such as Hazyview and Dihlabeng Mall for friendly service and affordable variety, the overall sentiment leans heavily negative, with shoppers citing humiliating in-store experiences and refusal to honour reasonable refund requests.

Bought a spin bucket ftom them 3 month sgo. They advertise amonst other things "durable handel" it was barely used maybe 8 times to mop an area of 20 square meter and the handel collapsed. I had the receipt, the original packing, the bucket, handel and the spare mop head that was never used and headed to their store Village Mall Hartebee****rt on 29 April 2026 at around 12h30. When I tried to return it. the cashier said she didn't think it would be a problem as it was obvious that it had barely been used. The manager however, said they only give a 7 day return policy. So on a "quality durable product" no guarantee. When I tried to explain she did not give me time to talk just kept saying store policy is 7 days over and over, then gave me the brush off and a VERY sarcastic "Have a good day" I asked to speak to her superior. She said contact head office. I asked whether it could be done in store as the product was for a nurse taking care of people with mental disabilities and had been a regular customer for 6 years. She said I can phone them myself, gave me a number on a piece of paper and walked away. I paid for the other items and tried calling the number ( 0118175372) 4 times 12h50 to 12h57 standing just outside the store but got no reply.

I was in the Crazy Store, Menlyn Park Shopping Centre, Pretoria, 30 minutes before the scheduled 13:00 closing. At 12:58, staff closed the doors and aggressively pressured customers to move to the till. Upon arriving at the checkout, I found a queue of eight people being serviced by only one cashier. Knowing that I would be waiting for at least five to ten minutes before being served, I made a reasonable observation regarding the contradiction of being rushed to the till only to stand in an inefficient line. To maximize my time, I stepped back to grab two final items while the queue moved. Unprofessional Conduct and Harassment: At this point, a white woman (who said its her store) began shouting at me in front of other customers, stating, "This is my store, so when I say my store is closed, and you come to the till, you come to the till and wait in line." Following her lead, other employees joined in, mocking me for being the "only one complaining." Points of Concern: 1. Inefficient Management: Closing doors early and operating only one till for a large group is poor operational practice. 2. Verbal Abuse: Shouting at a customer is a gross violation of basic retail ethics. A customer's presence in a queue does not give management the right to be verbally abusive. 3. Discriminatory Undertones: I found it highly suspicious that I was singled out for harassment. As a Black African woman who does not speak a local South African language, the aggressive "shouting down" felt like an attempt to intimidate me based on my race and origin. While other customers remained quiet (perhaps because they had finished their selection), my attempt to be efficient with my time was met with a level of vitriol that was not directed at anyone else.

Crazy Plastics Ferndale mall I mistakenly drop some plastic containers with card board boxes in a narrow isle just before the paypoint and the made me pay 90% of the damaged one... selling price with R199. I spent about R1100 at this store and had to pay additional for a product I did not need. Don't they have insurance for these things?
