I am writing to formally express my dissatisfaction with the service I received on 27 May 2026 at your Birch Acres Store. I visited the branch to return items that I had purchased over the weekend. Upon arrival and after greeting staff, I was assisted by the store manager, Mr Oupa Ntai (Employee Number: 3165). Unfortunately, his conduct throughout the interaction was rude, dismissive, and highly unprofessional. When I requested assistance with a refund, I was informed that the area manager was not available to provide a reference required to process the refund. This explanation was surprising and unacceptable, as the store was fully operational with staff present, including a store manager. At the very least, I expected a genuine attempt to assist me. Instead, Mr Ntai stated that he would not do anything about my refund request and told me that I should “assist myself,” claiming that I was asking too many questions and that he would not entertain me further. He then walked away and left me standing at the door without any further assistance. Still seeking clarity, I proceeded to the till and waited my turn. While I was waiting, Mr Ntai loudly shouted across the store, in front of other customers, stating that he would not explain anything to me or explain himself further to me he owes me nothing he said what he said and that's that , that he is the store manager, and that I would leave without a refund. He further made remarks implying that he is accustomed to complaints from customers like me and that reporting him would make no difference, as head office would not take any action against him. This behavior was humiliating, intimidating, and completely unacceptable. I was eventually assisted by Ms Noluthando Ngomane, who demonstrated excellent customer service. She remained professional, respectful, and made genuine efforts to explore all possible options to assist me. Despite her willingness to help, Mr Ntai continued to interfere and stated that if the partial exchange required dispensing any money, he would not approve it and that we were wasting time. He again repeated that we could report him, as nothing would come of it based on past complaints against him. As a long-standing customer of your store, I felt deeply disrespected and undermined. This experience wasted a significant amount of my time and caused me to arrive late to collect my son from daycare, resulting in additional costs. To date, I have still left haven't received my refund. I am extremely concerned by Mr Ntai’s confidence in providing such poor service and his repeated assertions that no disciplinary action would be taken against him. This raises serious questions about whether this behavior is known, tolerated, or endorsed by the company, and whether store managers are adequately trained in customer service and conflict resolution. I was then kept in store and only released when everyone let and he proceeded to attempt to take videos of me when I was calling him out on his behavior

The staff is always friendly, weather you came to purchase or window shopping, not even a day I went to Sam Ntuli Mall (Clothing Junction) and came back disappointed. I wish I can see who the manager there, ALL your staff is doing exceptional. Thank you for the great customer service.

I bought items that doesn't fit me properly on the left hand is small and tight then on the right hand it's loose so I went to Letlhabile mall CJ store to ask for a refund due to pay just now they refused to assist me I also went to CJ Madibeng mall they also refused to assist me I left items at the store and the proof of purchase they told me that they will call me after they resolve the matter I'm still waiting for their call so what makes me worried is that if they give me back those items what am I gonna do with them so please 🙏 assist me because the reason why I forced them to refund me it is because after 30 days they won't assist me that's what I told them

I’m really aggrieved about the level of service delivery I received from the shop and disheartened that I’m stuck with clothes of more than 2k just because sales personnel suddenly don’t care because my request is against policies. I bought clothes in January for my daughter just as she was about to start the academic year. She did not try the clothes on at the store because of health reasons, so we bought items she liked to try on at home and return what didn’t fit. To my disappointment, 90% of the clothes were small. The cuts sold by Clothing Junction are smaller compared to other retailers. The following weekend, since I work out of town. I went to the shop to return the items after realizing that they don’t have sizes for exchange. The sales lady made a comment about how the return will affect their sales however they will do several returns if we can’t find anything for exchange the following week. I then asked my mom to go try again during the week, which she did and they told her that they need my card since I used it for the sale. I went back that weekend and was told that they don’t have enough money to process the refund both in cash and from credit sales. I asked about how this back and forth will affect me as time is going and they haven’t received stock. They said that they are aware of the pending request and that it won’t affect me, that they will call or I should come again at the end of February. Due to other commitments I couldn’t go during the last week of Feb and went at the beginning of March, when I was turned back again due to “no funds” at the store. I went back last weekend to follow up since I didn’t receive any correspondence from them regarding stock or the status of my refund. This is the part that hurts me the most, the sales personnel denied ever receiving such a request though my receipt still has my details and the items they were checking sizes for when they wanted to do an exchange. They said that it’s been more than 30 days and therefore cannot assist because the company policy says they should process such requests within 30 days. I’m sitting with clothes for more than 2k and a response that it’s not their fault, no acknowledgment of their previous actions or promises. What am I supposed to do with clothes that don’t fit me which the store refused to refund. 2k is not a small amount, it’s hard earned money that could’ve been used for something else which I now clearly cannot. This is really ********* behaviour which is going unchecked. We try to support small businesses and new businesses but if this is what it means to support SMME’s then I believe we have a really big problem at hand because how many more people will lose money due to this practice? I would truly advise that we refrain from this store and stick to its competitors because they’re clearly not ready to service communities or the public.

Very poor customer service at the Clothing Junction Worcester branch. I went to the store to return a pair of shoes I had purchased. When I got to the till, I was told that the return could not be processed because the tills had already been cashed up, meaning no refund could be issued, and I was advised to come back another day. It makes absolutely no sense that a customer should be inconvenienced and denied a refund simply because the tills are closed while the store is still operating. Why are tills being counted during trading hours if customers are still allowed inside the store? As a result, customers who need assistance are turned away. I was especially disappointed because my time was wasted. When I asked to speak to a manager, the person counting the money claimed to be the manager and said there was nothing that could be done. This experience was frustrating and unacceptable. Clothing Junction needs to do better by training staff on proper customer service, professionalism, and basic manners.

What insolence they have I bought clothes and found out that I overspend so wanted to refund something the girl named precious said to me come back tomorrow we don't refund same day so I went home and only to loose my slip and the next day when I go she says she won't help me without a slip who's fault is it because I wanted to exchange she told me stories and today she's telling me nonsense again mxmmm very very poor poor service I'll never ever again buy here id like this to be taken to another level as too how come I'm treated like I took those things for credit it's my money that I used there and they not doing me a favour either

I placed an order online on the 16th on Dec it's the 23rd now and i never received an email or any communication whether my product is in dispatch or not nothing. I tried phoning them and using their WhatsApp number but it's not in working. I even sent an email to all absolute no reply🤦🏻♀️help?

This was my first experience at a Clothing Junction store. The store is in the Bay West Mall in Port Elizabeth. I was looking through the t shirts on special and was ably and wonderfully assisted by a young man named Austin. Because I like blue, I was looking at the blue shirts and he was helping me and patiently holding them up and showing me the designs. The store was neat and tidy and the other staff members were friendly and helpful as well.
