Be cautious when planning to work for this company. They do not adhere to the basic conditions of the employment act and do not care about the wellbeing of their staff. Upon leaving their employ, my son has not been fully paid and being hit with ********l deductions and fed one excuse after the other for not paying his unused leave days. Be careful when consedering to work for this company.

I am very dissatisfied with the poor costumer service I received from this company and based on my experience I would strongly advise that no one take up a contract with CitiProtection. They misrepresented information to me and had me sign a digital contract which bound me for two years, even though I had to buy all the equipment outright, and when I wished to cancel the agreement due to poor service received they held me liable for the full contract amount outstanding. After arguing the fairness of it they offered me a penalty payment of R2694 "as a sign of good will" instead of the full R5388. I cannot stress this enough...NO ONE SHOULD EVER ENTER INTO AN AGREEMENT WITH THIS DECEIPTFUL COMPANY!!

They misrepresented information to me and had me sign a digital contract which bound me for two years, even though I had to buy all the equipment outright, and when I wished to cancel the agreement due to poor service received they held me liable for the full contract amount outstanding. I cannot stress this enough...NO ONE SHOULD EVER ENTER INTO AN AGREEMENT WITH THIS DECEIPTFUL COMPANY!!

Kindly note I have signed a contract with Citi Protection for my house Alarm System. All signed documents has been send out to them a technician was send to my place to come and install only to find out a few equipments were Outstanding as well as a battery. Thier technician told me can buy my own battery or buy from them but theirs it's expensive like R700. I suggested to buy my own one and wait for the technician to come back. Citi Protection deducted their first debit order from my account with unfinished work until month four. They never called to update me about their delay. Now I send them an email to request for a credit note for the last four months that they have been deducting my money from my account without any service,they don't respond to my email, but send their technician again to my place this time a different one was sent out. He looked at everything and said few things were done but yes the work is unfinished. He wrote on their job card that no job was done things were left unfinished. I even asked him to take a photo of the job card for me to have the information. After the technician came their manager called me saying they can't give me a credited note, I also can't cancel my contract. Then I told him they should give my money back for the months that I didn't get service which my house was at risk and deduct their first debit order once they start giving me service.

WORST ARMED REPONSE EVER.... So i took out an alarm and monitoring cover with these guys because the previous owner of the house i bought was using them. He said they were always on sit and responded swiftly as he worked overseas and left the wife and kids at home. I took his word for it. It has been 2 months since a patrol car passed by my place, not even to come directly at my house but just to use the same street. NO VISIBILITY at al, nothing. About a month ago i called in to raise this concern, i was told the operations manager will phone me. NEVER DID. i was never called back to say they are not available or i will be called later on, no communication nothing. I then called again, and also made them aware that the sign board that they told me remains a property of citi protection through out my contract has fallen down. They also said i will be called for a technician to arrange for that to be sorted. a whole month later i had to call back and ask what was going on. At this point, no visibility or initial complaint was resolved. 2 days ago, i was at work when i was called to say there was a signal for panic at my house. I said i am not at the house, give me 2 min to find out what is going on. please send armed response in the mean time. The lady asked me so rude if she should call me back or send armed response. I said both because when i was signing up, i was told if there is an alarm signal they will call and dispatch. 48hours after the panic, no call back, no armed response sent, no communication as to what happened, if the armed response was sent what did they find. NOTHING, NO COMMUNICATION AT ALL!!! Pathetic service, no sense of urgency and not sticking to the promises from when you sign up.

Just want to thank David (manager) and Biyela (response vehicle) for their assistance in my time of need. My vehicle broke down on the side of the road and David did not hesitate to send out a vehicle to keep me safe while waiting for the breakdown to arrive. It was such a relief to see the patrol car and Biyela immediately came to enquire if I were ok and waited until my car was pulled up and I was in the vehicle before leaving. I simply cannot thank each of you enough. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!

Just want to thank David (manager) and Biyela (response vehicle) for their assistance in my time of need. My rental house in Waverley has been connected to the armed response provided by Citiprotection since MCS was taken over.(I never signed a new contract with Citiprotection) My tenants kept complaining about false alarms. They also noted that the alarms have not been attended to by the company. I reported it numerous times and was confronted by absolute arrogant and incompetent staff. I got hold of Reinhard who was previously involved with MCS. None of his promises materialized. I opened a job card with the technical department, and had to pay first before they attended to the complaints. On two occasions I paid to get the alarm fixed, on both occasions the technician failed to identify any problems and just left without any explanation or a plan. I made many calls the control room, and a lady by the name of Hilde made various promises to attend to my complaints. She never returned the calls, and referred it to the technical manager, who diagnosed the issue over the phone as "related to load shedding". I mailed my complaints on a daily basis to their listed email address as per their web page- no response at all. I made another call to the control room, and requested the contact details of the CEO. They provided me with the name Wayne Houghton. They promised that they will call me back with his contact details, which never happened. I called back again and requested that he call me. They promised, which never happened. Needless to say, I moved my service to another willing company. Their service is horrible to say the least.

Their service is terrible and have negligent staff. Last year I had a burglar in the yard and rang the alarm (emergency), they called but never pitched to the incident. The guy who picked the call says he did not hear that I said I need help,he hang up the call.I was helped by CPF yet I pay CITIPROTECT every month, subsequently they suspended my alarm without even notifying me. I then stopped paying, now they are calling off the hook. Sometimes you ring the alarm,only to find it's not ringing to them.and it will take months before a technical come. Terrible, negligent service provider.
