South African Health is beyond broken My uncle was admitted a couple of days ago. We called this evening to find out how he is doing, we found out he is hungry.they did not give them for tonight. He is critical, in pain and now he has to deal with hunger. Why didnt they inform us that they wont be serving dinner. We stay far from the hospital,so we cant just drive there. I am so disappointed. Our public health service in south africa is horrible.

I have my sister is admitted there, she had operation on Monday 4 February 2026, she is in bad condition. Nurses in ward 61c are treating her so bad, she is not bathed, no check ups on her as she can’t move because of pains. They have asked her to go to bathroom herself even after explaining that she is weak and unable to walk. The service of that hospital is so bad. And I bet you if something bad was to happen to he, I will sue the hospital. She has been asked not to use her phone, there is no information being shared with her or us as family as to what is the status of her condition. We don’t know know anything. Please help, as I will escalate the matter.

So today I visited Chris Hani Baragwanath Hospital with my daughter because she woke up feeling like ****. So, since we were around Diepkloof, visiting a friend,d and the condition she is in is severe, we decided to run to CHBH. They would rather give attitude and send you away because you don't have a referral letter, not considering the condition a patient is in.

My sister is pregnant and was admitted to Bara three days ago due to severe complications related to high blood pressure. Since her admission, she has not received proper medical attention. The staff keeps saying her blood pressure is high, yet no intervention is being done to help her. At this point, both her life and the baby’s life are at risk. There seems to be no urgency or consideration from the hospital. This has been the worst experience we’ve ever had at Bara.

I wanna compliment the staff of ward 59, bo mme Bae tshwarang ka bohaleng😭😭❤️❤️u work in a very bad department but how u always show up with smiles on your shifts is actually recommendable. I was admitted on the 9th and spent the whole week not even a day have I seen any of the staff in a bad mood or talking to us in a bad manner. U made me forget that I am scared of public hospitals bcz of reviews we all see around. Wishing all the staff a merry Christmas and a blessed new year ahead🙏🙏🙏🙏🎄🎄
