An awesome time we had in your facility. The ambiance was very relaxing and calm. Rooms were very immaculate. Your staff (security, receptionist, boat driver, cleaners, and restaurant staff) were very welcoming and supportive. We have definitely spread the good word to friends and relatives.

I booked a getaway for myself at Cayley Lodge. From the pictures I saw, it’s a beautiful place. I drove there alone. The access road was terrible. One doesn’t get warned about this. When one books, you’re given the impression that there’s back up power. However, only when you get there, you’re given clarity regarding when their generator will be running. Should there be a power cut or load shedding beyond those hours, you’re expended to sit in the far or make use of a candle that the lodge has provided. I don’t know how a place gets a 4 star rating when you have to use a candle light. The food at the restaurant is terrible. They don’t even provide water in the units. I was suppose to stay for a week, I only stayed two nights. The general manager then told me they would contact me regarding my refund, that hasn’t happened. While the place is beautiful, I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone.

I wish I could actually give this resort ZERO stars, as that is what they deserve. The most shocking service we have ever received on a holiday. Absolutely NO regard for the customer care, it is just pure daylight ******* and will NOT be returning. ****roach infested, broken toilet, terribly slow water pressure, broken fireplace and had to be moved at 8.30pm with our kids, was a total health hazard and the resort not taking any responsibility or refunding us! DO NOT BOOK CAYLEY LODGE - you will be wasting your hard earned money!

I booked for a second holiday at Cayley Lodge for 5nights from 04 August 2023 to 09 August 2023. My first experience was great in terms of location and the actual villa ( 3 bedroom). The reception and overall staff attitude was extremely poor and unprofessional. This was worrisome as this resort prices itself in the same category as superior lodges which we frequent. However, I passed this off as a unique experience and booked a second time. At the cost od R17 000 , I booked an advertised 2 bedroom villa. My excitement quickly dissipated at reception on meeting the extremely rude staff present. She hurriedly checked us in without a proper greeting, smile nor introduction and failed to prepare me for the horror to follow. The 2 bedroom villa is in actuality a 3 bedroom villa where you share the remaining room with another unknown person.Despite the separate doors and communal entrance,it is less than comfortable. This should be advertised as 2 bedroom apartments within a 3 bedroom villa.Similarly a 1 bedroom villa is shared with 2 others. Room service was at 12. On 1 day it was at 3pm because they had a"meeting". The facilities are dated and the only positive is the great location. I have complained on their website, with no response. From chatting to other disgruntled individuals there, it is evident that customer service is not a priority. We are lured to a "luxury" accommodation without room heaters using false promise. The final straw for me is the icy showers our family endured on 2 consecutive mornings. Lastly, their "unlimited wifi " is limited. I will not spend another cent of my hard-earned money with a return to this "lodge" or any other Beekman Bros property.

We booked in for the Easter weekend and on arrival, the receptionist provided me a form to complete. It did not reflect the booking as my name and I highlighted this to her. I explained that wasnt my name. She insisted that I should just add my details to the form. We were then given the keys to the unit. We found that the unit wasnt to our expectation and did complain at reception but the staff were very unfriendly and not interested in helping. When we arrived back home, we provided this feedback to our travel agent who then informed us that the Cayley Lodge receptionist actually booked us in the incorrect apartment. We paid for a luxury unit but actually got a very standard unit! Upon enquiring with them, they admitted that they were wrong and we would receive a free stay but to this day even after lawyers and hundreds of phonecalls, we have not received a refund nor voucher for a stay. Pathetic service from the so called manager who promises he will phone back but never does!

I booked at Cayley Mountain lodge for the Easter weekend via Booking.com but cancelled due to personal reasons. BEWARE: they debit your account within hours for the full amount(R25k). Cancellation is a disaster: I logged the cancellation on the 28Jan and had to phone them today to check today(3Feb) and it was not actioned yet and they then point you to a 14 day return policy on Booking.com whilst they enjoy the interest of your funds. So I asked the stroppy lady to advise when the refund will be paid and she said it could take 14 days, from when????????? They also need some kind of management approval to release your funds???
