Alpha Debt Management
Based on recent customer reviews, Alpha Debt Management is facing serious concerns from customers who feel misled into debt review arrangements without informed consent. A recurring theme is that agents allegedly misrepresent themselves, sometimes claiming affiliation with the National Credit Regulator or banks, and pressure customers to sign digital forms quickly. Customers consistently mention difficulty cancelling agreements, unresponsive follow-up communication, and lasting damage to their credit profiles. A small number of customers acknowledge becoming debt free with assistance from staff, but positive sentiment is heavily outweighed by allegations of deceptive onboarding practices.

i get a call twice a week over the last two months. There is no opt out option in the automated intro. Then everytime i speak to a consultant and ask them to remove my number - they pretend they don't hear me and hang up the phone. This is a buisiness line and you claim to be calling on behalf of Standard bank. I want this removed - since I do not need or want your services and NONE of you take my request to remove my number. This is shocking.

Alpha Debt Management has completely destroyed my financial life. They appraoched me in 2021 and said that they can negotiate with my bank a lower rate for my car repayment. I was then sent a link afterhours to sign saying this gives them permission to contact my bank to speak to them to negotiate a better interest rate on my car. Trusting this, I signed. Months later, my car payment suddenly bounced. When I contacted my bank, I was shocked to learn that my accounts had been blocked and that I had been placed under debt review, something I never knowingly or explicitly agreed to. There was no proper explanation, no informed consent, and no transparency about what I was signing. I only discovered what debt review actually meant in the weeks and months that followed. The consequences have been devastating: I have been blocked from accessing credit My ability to operate and grow my business as a sole proprietor has been severely restricted I lost control over basic financial decisions, including restructuring my finances or downsizing assets Years later, I am still trapped trying to get out of this situation There was no proper process explained to me, and I feel completely misled and abandoned. Instead of helping, this has suffocated me financially and emotionally. I have also approached the National Credit Regulator for assistance, but unfortunately found the process unhelpful and without meaningful resolution. I refused to pay any monies to Alpha debt management who also wanted to force a debt order on my - I refused, because I never gave informed consent to be placed under debt review in the first place. In my experience, Alpha Debt Management's actions are reckless and does not take responsibility for their actions and leaves clients to deal with the consequences alone. Strong warning: Do not engage with this company they are misleading and have no insight in what they caused or intention to rectify it.

I am writing this to warn the public about the predatory and deceptive tactics used by this company. I was contacted by an agent named Ashley or Luthando who claimed to be calling from the NCR (National Credit Regulator). The ****: Ashley or Luthando offered me a "legitimate opportunity" to reduce my debt interest rates. When I specifically asked if there was a catch or if this was Debt Review, he explicitly **** and said "No." He then pressured me to sign an online form immediately. The Red Flags: After signing the form, I was told to send my highly sensitive documents—including my ID and bank statements—directly to a WhatsApp number for Ashley's attention. He promised to call back in 10 minutes. The Confrontation: During those 10 minutes, I did my own research and realized this is a common bait-and-switch **** used to trick people into Debt Review without their informed consent. When Ashley or Luthando called back, I confronted him. Instead of being professional, he gave me a bizarre instruction to go to a Capitec branch the next morning to "enquire" about it—a clear attempt to validate his **** through a reputable bank. Conclusion: I am disgusted by the lack of ethics and the blatant misrepresentation of the NCR. I have demanded an immediate cancellation of my application and a formal rejection letter. Avoid this company at all costs. They lie about who they are and the services they provide.

I started my journey with Alpha in 2024. I made some very bad financial decisions and my salary was just going for my debt. I had to live on monthly loans just to survive. 2 years down the line and I can proudly say I'm debt free. I just want to say thank you to the new manager Mrs N**** you have really gone the extra mile to assist me. Here's to making better financial decisions. Thank you again

A guy called me saying they can help me with my debt so that I can pay a lower interest rate, where I will be paying the bank back directly, due to those words I was put under the impression it's linked with my bank. No indication that I will be under debt review, I never wanted to be put under debt review , the guy send me a link where I had to send him bank statements, copy of my ID as well as my signature, he said a lady will contact me after our call to finalize the contract, after the call ended I received a message on WhatsApp from the company saying thanks for the documents, in the message I saw they are debt reviewer's, when the lady called me I told her that I am not interested in it anymore as I was miss informed and don't want to be under debt review I asked her if she can stop the debit order, a few hours later a guy called me asking why I want to cancel, when I gave him my reason he started to get rude with me and kept on insisting it's better this way , I told him for me it's not and that I wish for the debit order to be taken down then he hung up on me , now there contact details keep on ringing and then cuts off , can someone help me by giving me the next steps I should take to sort this problem please.
