1. Premature Service Termination: I had a server with Absolute Hosting for 2 years. Despite paying for the full month, they unannouncedly shut down my server 5 days before the end of the term. This took my clients' websites offline without warning. When I contacted support, they refused to restart the services, claiming the "term had ended" despite the calendar month not being over. 2. Bureaucratic Obstacles: Every simple request required a minimum of 4 emails and exhaustive "detailed explanations" for why I wanted to make changes to my own services. The level of red tape for basic administrative tasks is unacceptable for a modern hosting provider. 3. Obstructing Domain Transfers: After I renewed three .co.za domains (paying them in full), they immediately app**** a clientTransferProhibited lock to prevent me from moving them to a new provider. There is no Registry-level requirement for this lock on renewals; it was a manual hurdle placed by the ISP. I only managed to get the lock removed by threatening a formal complaint to the ZARC (ZA Registry Consortium). Final Verdict: If you value your uptime and your right to own your data, look elsewhere. Their "security" is used as a tool for customer retention rather than customer protection.

I have been using this hosting company for a year, after moving from a Web host that did not support DotNet Core. They're so low - I wish to pay more. Their response to customer tickets is very fast. I have logged many support tickets, and their support team has consistently resolved them. I can't wait for when they have GPU machines as well so I can crunch data on their good services.

Friendly enough staff but rather disappointed in that I have to pay for hosting, after support told me they can help me transfer my settings etc. only to find out that no, they can't, I have to do everything myself anyway. So now I've prepaid for a month of hosting while I cancelled within minutes as I found out I have to migrate everything myself anyway and their setup is very confusing.

Really bad user experience. This company got my website banded from google indexing. I mean it's a hosting platform and they could never solve the problem. I had to go to domains.co.za. I would not recommend this company to anyone. They cant even answer simple emails and keep sending generic messages. Really bad. Don't think you are saving money with their hosting. You will end up paying even more.

Hi, Rude staff - but this isnt the main problem. There is a total lack of profesional communication. There have been almost weekly outages for the last while, no communication - trust me - if this is for a side project that isnt making money anyway, use them they are a budget service! But for real customers do not touch them constant outages, vps's have continuos speed issues - will just cuase you grief on a saturday afternoon!

We are a small online retail business, - we process many orders every month - we decided (for security reasons) to host our website and email separately using Absolute's business email package. I noticed that many emails from our customers (even those sent via our contact form) and mails from agents were being incorrectly classified as spam, despite my adding them to trusted mail lists. I was told that I couldn't whitelist at a domain level, but would have to ask each agent to do so for themselves. I then requested that the spam filter be adjusted to allow business mails to be delivered. The only solution was to turn off the spam filter. In addition, there was a problem with invoices not being mailed to customers, 67 invoices were not sent at all, in the space of a couple of weeks - about a third of our mails. One of our agents then sent out order confirmations to 100 customers, using Woocommerce bulk invoice processing. Our email address was taken off line, we were told that we were spamming and despite my explaining that these emails were 100% legitimate we were forced to pay R500 to have our mail reinstated. It's impossible to speak to a person there, and the email support will not engage in any meaningful way. Of course we immediately changed to another service provider. Don't go anywhere near this company.
